- Males with normal karyotype and fertility problems (oligospermia, oligoazoospermia , failed IVF attempts and multiple miscarriages of the wife) often are carriers of Genetic abnormalities, including sperm chromosome aneuploidy as well as structural aberrations, which are the major causes of their infertility.
- Aneuploidies screening of the Sperm samples using fluorescent in situ hybridization for Chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X and Y, is performed for diagnosing/investigating the cause of infertility in these patients.
The increased rate of DNA fragmentation in sperm is highly related with infertility, failed IVF attempts and multiple miscarriages.
The DNA fragmentation is analyzed in sperm samples using halo sperm technique.
